I Don't Know What To Write Anymore
19 November 2014
Have you ever felt this way? What do you do when you lose passion, or inspiration, or things don't go according to plan? Maybe I should start a new project, a different project that isn't writing a full-fledged book. I know that I have what it takes to succeed and be a writer, but it's never been so hard to get started.
I don't what to write anymore...what should I do?

Oh this is a very sad post :( I most certainly have been there and done that--something like this happens every single summerish. Though not to this extent.

I would say that you should do two things. First, keep writing. Even if you you fill pages and pages with the sentence "I hate this." at least you are writing. Write, especially, about your life. Remember things that make you smile and things that make you cringe. (for more on this, I reccomend 'Bird by Bird' by Anne Lammott) Then you'll start to find new stories.
Second, edit something. Pull out a short story or a sonnet or a novel and edit the cheeze-its out of that thing.
the best of luck to you :)Oh, I feel so bad for you. :( I totally get how you feel. We've all been there.

I highly recommend doing all these things. But even if you just do one, it's a start.
1. Read. If you're not writing, you should be reading like crazy. You never know where inspirational will strike. Even if you end up writing fan-fiction, at least you're getting back where you should be.
2. Journal. The best part is, you don't have to think about what's going to happen next! :) You're recording actual events, so you can't really get writer's block. Not like that.
3. Freewrite. If you don't know what to write about, write crap. And keep writing crap until you start writing something worth saving (although you should always, always, always save every single piece of your work. ALWAYS. You can always recycle it.).
I hope you get this sorted out! :( It sucks to feel this way, believe me, I know.
